Program Details

How does the community garden work?

Gardeners are collectively responsible for all the basic work to keep the community garden looking nice. Gardeners like you volunteer to team up and coordinate the tasks and activities that keep your garden running smoothly. Please be aware it’s your responsibility to get involved, don’t wait for someone to call.

What can I grow?

Any vegetables, small fruits, flowers or herbs you choose. Organic gardening only. Produce may be shared with friends or donated to food banks but may not be sold. You should not use plants that are invasive in the garden. You should check with the specific garden to see what those might be.

What size are the plots?

Standard plot size are 10' x 20' raised bed planters.

As plots turn over, plot sizes may be adjusted based on the following factors: overall garden size, waitlist length, population density of neighborhoods, and other programmatic goals.
